Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:
Good afternoon, it's my honor to present my speech here today. The title of my speech is "You are the most important person in my heart." I am from thoracic surgery and medical oncology department, and our objectivity of service is patient-centered as well as try our best to satisfy patients' requirements. Indeed, we do it like this.
Usually, we often long for to be cared by others, let alone those patients who are sorely suffered by cancer for a long time. In my opinion, they need more help and care. In fact, the patient’s family members, because of taking care of the patient for a long time, have already lost their confidence and patience. I remember this year when we celebrated the new year happily, several patients in our ward were suffering from the cancer. Actually, they were waiting for the death because they hardly have any treatment. For our normal people, the night of December 30 is a happy night for all of us, but the happiness of this is far from those patients who were waiting for the death. What’s more, they have no relatives to accompany them. They are the true things that we watched with our naked eyes. But we can do nothing to help them. The only thing we can do is to try to make them happy. So we bought some candies for them, and when we put the candies into their hands, they were totally moved but said nothing. At that moment, we saw clearly that their eyes were full of tears. Also that moment I realized the meaning of " has seen somebody off the rose, the hand had old fragrance".
In others’ opinion, nurses' work is dirty and tired. But I think, as long as we can bring happiness and health to patients, it is valuable. Don't you think so, my dear workmates?
In my heart, the patient are just like a sick tree, and our help is like the bright sun and rain which could support a piece of shade to them. We always hope them to be strong and healthy. In my heart, the patient's worries are like the dark clouds, and our cares are like gentle spring wind which can blow away the gloomy clouds and unfold a beautiful sky.
My dear friends and sisters, I believe when we fight bravely in our post ,we no longer feel sad because of giving up the holiday. We no longer feel tired and afraid when we think of the moved moment. We no longer complain when we discard the romantic moment with our boyfriends because what we thought is the patient who are saved by us. My dear friends and sisters, please don't feel surprised, because the patient are in my heart, and also in our hearts.
My dear friends and sisters, let's borrow May's wind, harness the boat of exploration, raise the sail of life and offer our love and our glorious youth on this ordinary but great post with all our hearts and soul.
